This food product photography was photographed at Protein Pizza in Canary Wharf, London with these photos were taken to show off the protein pizza menu which would be shown on Deliveroo. The focus was to implement fitness into the image and show off their food. Our team and the client brainstormed ideas onto a mood board so we knew exactly what to shoot when we got to the location.
Shoot Length – 8 hours + overnight stay
To begin with, we worked closely with the client, creating a mood board to express ideas that the client had. After this, we would mainly manage the project ourselves which lets us be flexible and using our initiative, taking the stress away from the client. A food stylist was also present at the shoot at Canary Wharf, London which ensured that the products were shot to the best of our ability. As it was an eight-hour shoot, Collette travelled down to the shoot location and stayed overnight nearby which let her be ready for the shoot. She brought down a wide variety of props such as crockery, to fitness related items such as weight plates, dumbbells, and towels.
Research also suggests that a mint green colour is proven to be associated with healthy eating and additionally taking more coloured backgrounds for the client to choose from if they prefer. Two Elinchrom ELC head lights were took down in addition to a mixture of soft boxes, reflectors, and grids to light the scene, with all photos shot on a Canon 5D Mk IV. The main purpose of these photographs was to emphasise fitness relating to their protein pizza for a social media brief, showcasing the variety they have on their menu.
