Inviting customers in with exciting venue photography
Architectural photography is always a fun challenge for us. Especially when working for Concorde BGW. In this case, we were taking some interior photos at the stunning Refinery restaurant in Nottingham. When taking restaurant interior photography it’s important to take both wide-angle and detailed photos to show off the interior designer’s style.
Showing the quality of the build and many elements that go into creating the final result is also an important part of interior restaurant photography. In this case, when we shot architectural photography in Nottingham, we could see there was lots of ambiance and textures in the decor, that needed to be shown in the pictures. The design layout cleverly featured 3 areas of the restaurant: a bar area, a relaxed cafe area, and a restaurant area where diners can enjoy a meal.
The first thing we do when seeing a renovated space for the first time is to take a look around the whole site. This allows us to identify key areas and angles of photos that need to be taken.
From there we use a systematic approach where we work our way around the venue. By doing this, we ensure that the key angles and details are captured to create engaging restaurant photography.
