A striking fitness clothing shoot by our professional photographer Collette. This fitness shoot focused on fitness photography with Jovan, a competing athlete in men’s physique. 

While fitness photography is usually associated with deep shadows and bright highlights. The shoot with Jovan used plenty of colours in the background and clothing. This created a contrasting and colourful take on fitness photography, taking full advantage of good weather and natural lighting. 

Colette and Jovan collaborated in choosing brands they wanted to showcase; even shopping together to decide the best look for the shoot. The photographs were taken in multiple locations such as the studio including the outdoor space around the studio and in locations around Barnsley centre. We used industry standard equipment such as elinchrom in the studio using contrasting backdrops to the item of clothing worn on the shoot.
