Ardagh Glass is a conscious global supplier of metal and glass packaging for brand owners around the world. We wanted to show the detail within the design and shape of each bottle in varying designs, shapes, sizes and colours. The imagery taken was minimal, which allowed the creative retouch to look seamless for the main campaign image. The photographs were shot on a blue background to emphasize the use of the product as a water bottle.
Plenty of test shots were done beforehand to find the best visual strategy for the shoot to capture the best qualities of each bottle. Mood boards were created to find the best visual concept for the shoot. All the products were treated and cleaned, removing all dust and fingerprints on the glass.
The lighting had to be adjusted accordingly because the glass bottles were delicate pieces to photograph. Our solution for working with glass was to use a backlight on the backdrop to illuminate the bottle but still keep its shape and features. We were able to capture the embossed glass design beautifully.
