Launching Soon, but Is Your Brand Actually Ready to Be Seen?
You might have the perfect formula, beautiful packaging, and a set launch date, but if your content folder is almost empty, your launch is at risk. People cannot buy what they cannot clearly see, understand, or trust, especially in the wellness space where promises are everywhere and trust is everything.
In this article, I want to walk you through the launch content checklist I use in my studio for ambitious wellness and supplement brands. If you are working on wellness brand content in the UK, where competition and ad costs are high, this checklist is not a nice-to-have, it is your baseline. After 25 years of content creation experience, 15 years as a business owner, and a lifetime in fitness, including becoming a World Champion Natural Bodybuilder, I am slightly obsessed with making sure brands do not launch underprepared.
Why Content Fails Quietly Before Launch
What I see all the time is this: packaging is final, ad spend is booked, retailers or Amazon listings are lined up, and the launch date is announced. Then, about two weeks out, the panic starts because half the assets do not exist.
Common patterns include things like:
- An agency asking for more variations, and you only have one angle of one product.
- A retail partner requesting a full image set and video, and all you can offer is a flat lay from your phone.
- Paid ads struggling because every clip looks the same, so nothing stops the scroll.
For wellness brand content in the UK, three gaps show up again and again:
- Not enough video formats or lengths to test across social and ads.
- Very limited variety, usually one look, one setup, and one model.
- No founder presence, so there is no real person to trust behind the product.
The cost of this tends to be rushed last minute shoots, DIY clips that do not quite match the brand, and launches that never really build momentum. The product might be excellent, but the story, visuals, and proof are missing when people first meet you.
The Launch Content Checklist Every Wellness Brand Needs
This is the checklist I plan against with my clients before a wellness launch. Think of it as the minimum to feel confident pressing go.
Hero Product Shots on White
You need clean, consistent product images that work anywhere:
- Multiple angles for every product.
- Group shots for bundles, flavours and collections.
- Consistent lighting and framing so your shop, Amazon and PR all line up.
Lifestyle Shots in Context
This is where people see themselves using your product in real life:
- Realistic locations that fit your brand, for example, a gym, a kitchen, an office, or a home.
- Product in use, such as pre-workout before training or sleep support on a bedside table.
- Focus on rituals and benefits, not just the label.
Short-Form Video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
Vertical video is your front line for awareness and ads:
- Quick hooks, how-to-take-it clips and simple demos.
- Different framings and angles so your team can test what actually converts.
- A mix of polished and natural-feeling footage.
Founder and Brand Story Content
In wellness, the face behind the brand matters:
- Simple pieces of you on camera talking about why you created the product.
- Still images you are happy to use across site, socials and PR.
- Any relevant moments from your own wellness or training story, handled honestly.
B-Roll for Ads and Repurposing
This is the glue that holds your video strategy together:
- Close-ups of pouring, mixing, lids twisting, scoops, ingredients and textures.
- Lifestyle movements, like training shots or morning routine details.
- Shot with editing in mind, so it works for UGC-style edits, ads and organic posts.
Amazon-ready 9-Image Set Plus Video
If Amazon or similar platforms are part of your plan, go in ready:
- A clear purpose for each image, covering hero, benefits, ingredients and comparisons.
- A how-to-use breakdown, lifestyle proof and trust markers where allowed.
- One short product video that also slots into your social and ad funnel.
Email and Website Assets
Your launch does not live on one platform, so your visuals should connect:
- Homepage and landing page banners that match your ads.
- Simple GIF-style loops or sequences to bring emails to life.
- Visuals that support stories like before and after style narratives where compliant.
One Shoot, Ninety Days of Content
When I plan a shoot as a campaign, not just a picture day, one day in the studio can give you ninety days of wellness brand content in the UK.
Before the shoot, I jump on a strategy call with you and map out your next three months. We look at things like:
- Product launch dates and key promotions.
- Retailer or Amazon requirements.
- Always-on social and email sequences you already know you want.
From there, I build a shot list backwards from where each asset will live, for example, website, Amazon, Meta ads, TikTok, PR and email. That way, every frame has a job before I press the shutter.
On the day itself, we work through a structured order:
- Hero product images first, while everything is pristine.
- Lifestyle scenes next, using a few core setups like gym, kitchen and home office.
- Vertical video and B-roll woven through each setup.
- Founder content while you are already in the right headspace and styling.
Using scene blocks means we can rotate wardrobe, models and props inside one location, creating a lot of variation without wasting time moving around. After the shoot, I deliver stills and video that are clearly labelled by purpose, for example, Amazon image numbers or Reels hook clips, so your team can plug them straight into your content plan and ad account.
Real Launches, Real Studio Results
One supplement brand came to me just before a pre-order phase with only packaging renders approved. In a single day we created a full hero set, training and recovery lifestyle imagery, short vertical clips, founder to-camera content and plenty of B-roll. Their ad team finally had enough variety to test properly, and that content base has carried them far beyond the initial pre-order window.
A female-focused wellness brand originally asked for a handful of product photos. Once I talked through their launch, we rebuilt the brief around the full checklist: white background shots, morning and evening routines, short-form videos, email headers and founder story content. The result was a fully visualised welcome and launch email sequence, imagery ready for stockists and consistent branding across social, without any last-minute scrambles.
My background in bodybuilding and long-term supplement use helps here. I understand how people actually integrate products into their day, from pre-workout to sleep support, so we can show that in a way that feels real and not staged.
How to Put This Checklist Into Action
You do not need to start from scratch to use this. Begin with a simple audit of what you already have.
First, list your launch touchpoints, for example:
- Website and landing pages.
- Amazon or other marketplaces.
- Social channels, email and PR.
- Any retailers or distributors you are pitching.
Against each one, tick off which checklist items you already have and highlight the gaps. If your budget is tight, prioritise the assets that are closest to the sale: strong hero product shots, a solid Amazon image set if relevant, three to five short-form videos and at least one clear founder story piece. Make sure you also have a base level of lifestyle imagery that reflects your actual customers, not just generic fitness models.
Next, plan one strategic shoot rather than several disconnected ones. Work with someone who understands wellness brand content in the UK and is comfortable shooting both stills and video in the same session. Go in with a detailed shot list and a rough timeline so product, lifestyle, founder content, B-roll and email or website assets are all covered.
Finally, systemise how you organise everything. Name files by platform and purpose, like Email-Launch-Day or Meta-Ad-Hook-01, then build a ninety-day content plan from that library. When launch day arrives, you are not improvising, you are simply pressing publish on content you know is ready to be seen.
Ready to Get Your Launch Content Actually Ready?
If you are reading this and realising you are missing half the checklist, you are not the only one. The difference for your brand will be choosing to fix it before launch, so your content can work as hard as your product already does.
If you want help mapping this out and executing it in one focused shoot, this is exactly what I do with wellness and supplement brands in the UK. Reach out with your launch date and current assets, and I will walk you through how we can turn one day in the studio into a ninety-day content library that supports your launch properly.
Ready to Launch With Content That’s Actually Ready?
The Content Builder Program gives wellness brands one content partner instead of five freelancers — planned shoots that cover TikTok, Amazon, ads, email, and socials in one go.
